House Rules

Activities

The Saga Zone site has been designed to be as friendly, welcoming and as safe as possible for all of our Zoners to use. In order to ensure everybody enjoys using our online community, we have created some House Rules.

These House Rules outline what is considered acceptable behaviour and language on the forums and profile content. By registering with us and using the facilities provided, you are agreeing to abide by these House Rules.

Any posts, profile content or behaviour, which violate these House Rules, may be edited or removed altogether by Saga Zone Hosts and we reserve the right to suspend or ban any users who continually break these House Rules.

These House Rules have been drawn up for everyone to have fun, so please do read them carefully and respect them.

Many thanks and happy networking!

Do not

  1. Behave in an insulting, threatening, rude or provoking manner to another Zone member or Saga staff.
  2. Be hateful towards a specific group of people. These discussions are open to people from all backgrounds.
  3. Racism, homophobia, or religious intolerance have caused problems in the past and are now forbidden topics in the forums. Please do not post anything that might fall into these categories and find another venue to exercise your freedom of speech.
  4. Swear, use hate-speech or make obscene or vulgar comments
  5. Break the law. This includes breach of copyright, defamation, condoning or promoting illegal activity and contempt of court (by making posts that could affect the outcome of an impending court action).
  6. Post spamming content (posting/sending the same comment, topic or Private Message multiple times). This includes chain emails.
  7. Advertise commercial interests or post surveys.
  8. Impersonate or falsely claim to represent a person or organisation.
  9. Post in a language other than English. We don't have the resources to support multi-lingual discussion.

  11. Make posts that are not relevant or related to the topics covered by the forum or within the spirit of the community discussion.
  12. Use multiple accounts. Only one account per person and one person using an account are permitted. This includes banned accounts.
  13. Use avatars/user pictures/images that contain images of a sexual nature, or contain offensive language. This includes using the site to overtly invite sexual liaisons or contain explicit sexual content in profiles, personal messaging, forum posts or blogs.
  14. Deliberately flame (attack) the Hosts/Moderators. Discussions between the Host should remain private; any complaints, grievances or publicly questioning our actions on the open forums may lead to the topic being locked/deleted, a warning or possible ban.
