Do you have an addiction?

I guess Twitter is mainly for the younger generation and celebrities.
Kate Moss is not a Triterer (Tweep, Tweeter).
She said .. Telegraph
But she denied she would ever join the host of celebrities using Twitter.
"I couldn't think of anything worse than people knowing what I'm doing all the time," she told the newspaper. "I just don't understand it. I don't get it all. Why would anybody want to know?

I am not a Tweeter ..
Who would want to know that I had just made a cup of tea or last night I was abducted by aliens (irony).
I am on Facebook but very rarely venture there. I am mainly on it so that anyone from the past can contact me if they are so inclined.
I have often made disparaging remarks about people and their mobile phones.
Billions of pointless conversations making billions in money for a few companies.
It is not that I am set in the past. I have a lot of Hi Tech in my home.
I do understand the addiction to the modern media hardware and software that enables instant communication over long distances.
People use modern electronic devices with no idea how they work. It might as well be magic. The intellectual content of most (I stress MOST) of the billions of communications on these devices would suggest that the human race has a seriously wrong evaluation of itself. We might as well all be clothed cave people for our lack of understanding and awareness.

Addiction comes in many forms. Food, alcohol, drugs, sex, clothes, shoes, football, motor vehicles, cigarettes, obsessive cleaning, a desire to be loved and blogging (Smile).
Apart from blogging my addiction is to music, digital cameras, quality conversations and searching out the truth (philosophy).
But I can go cold turkey at any time.
I love the fact that a camera can accurately record a moment in time that can be downloaded in high definition onto my PC.
I might be thought to feel superior to those addicted to the modern forms of instant communication. I do not feel superior. I understand both addiction and emotional needs that drive people.
If I talk or communicate with a person I do not want it to be meaningless and of no value (as Dylan said .. worthless foam from the mouth).
I have intelligent thoughts on EVERYTHING. I love a debate. I KNOW I might be wrong.
People prefer to communicate with others of their ilk (birds of a feather flock together).
That means that I tend to be isolated (alone). Does that make me depressed …not at all.
I have no desire to be liked or loved for the wrong reasons.
I can nearly always understand a person from what they say or print. I can read between the lines accurately (that does not enamour me to people).
As for me …I’m an open book.
If you read my blogs you will accurately know me.
I hate injustice. I hate unfairness. I hate stupidity (but understand it).
I love the truth even when is extremely unpalatable.
And I will never lower myself to use Twitter (the sun as just come out and I need to go to the loo …SMILE).
